as I'm sick of learning things the hard way on my Striker, I thought I seek a bit of knowledge from those wiser than me.

it's the rust on the exposed metal (lower arms, rockers, steering rods etc etc) I want to sort, hopefully without resorting to stripping out the individual pieces. Whats the best way to hit this please?

Does indeed... Here's a front hub before and after treatment

Huge pics so I'll link to them rather than post the images direct

Do pay attention to the warning about not using stainless electrodes though. Not quite sure how you'd manage to do it in situ either, best bet is probably to strip the parts off no matter what you decide to do with them as you'll get far better access

If I read your question right and you have some bits fitted on the car but don't want to remove them to sort it...how about POR15?? If not used it myself but people I know who have, say it's great. Frosts sell it. Ain't cheap though.

I tried the electrolysis - bloomin' brilliant!

cheers folks,
I'll look into that POR15, could be just the quick fix I'm after.
The electrolysis looks pretty impressive but maybe a job for the wet months!
