Subaru engine in a WLR
Discussion
Hi
I'm currently building a WLR (www.agmsportscars.co.uk/) which is a front engine mounted kit car.
Most people have been fitting ford units to the car, however I would love to fit a Subaru engine.
Most of the kit cars which have a subaru engine fitted are mid mounted with a transaxel arrangement. I'm after a gearbox with a prop shaft to a diff arrangement.
Has anybody had any experience ?
Regards

I reckon you may have some problems with this. It is difficult to get a scoob engine as low as you would like in a 7 style car due to the exhausts so you end up with quite a high prop and thus gearbox etc. It is a tempting thought, an easy 300bhp in a light car but I think there are probably too many disadvantages.
