It says all one would expect really - consistently nice things. It sums up by saying that as a second-hand purchase or DIY build, it's a sensible & viable alternative to many mainstream sports cars. Questions the sums if bought new from the factory though, which is probably fair comment and one that could be levied at all kits IMO.
I have no intention of building another kit (sadly)....but if I did, it would be a Libra. A Duratech would be tempting but I'm a bit of a V6 fan so it would probably be the KV6.
Generally enjoy PPC but there are a few bits starting to creep in that p155 me off - someone on the teeam is trying to be a bit too Clarkson and someone else has clearly just eaten a big pile of back issues of the old kit mags - language has gone all flowery, emotive but devoid of fact. DW's bits are always good though.

must admit that the libra is a really cracking car - enough power and reasonable everyday ability
I have a dilema at the moment - if the article is raving the car it may be a good time to sell?
i have a v6 which i love to bits but could do with the space in the garage - just restored a 280sl merc (sills off job - start a fresh!) - and cant have it sitting outside :-(
hhhmmmnnn

Hi Ferg and Jon
Yes I had a nice black V6..at the time it was exchanged for bricks and mortar as we had the house extended, that was really the only reason I sold it. I'm looking about for something interesting, a second hand Libra or possibly the new Murtaya, never know. Alternatively I was looking at the first couple of stages of an Ultima (long build period!!!!!) or even just plumping for a S2 Elise.
So thats me...

I know - we exchanged a few emails over it as I was seriously considering buying it from you. However, I couldn't raise the money without selling the Corrado (which I decided I couldn't bear to do) and dropped out. As I recall your car went for an absolute song in the end and the buyer got quite a bargain. That must have been a little galling for you.

Tell me about it!! Though in all seriousness I'm not sure how long I would have been advertising it without doing something drastic. I noticed as well another V6 shifted earlier this year for similar money, and VVCs are sub 10K, but hey what do I know?? LOL
You'd have been better off getting a loan for the amount that you sold it for in the end rather than taking that kind of withering hit in depreciation given that you now want another. JonRB said:

You're also assuming that I want another one, the Libra is just one of the potentials I'm considering...including the Murtaya, an Elise, an Ultima and even the DDR SP8 is quite interesting if a bit too far away!!

Fair enough, and a good point - I was indeed making that assumption.
Interesting to learn that it was the going rate; I thought your original asking price was reasonable given the list price so it's probably just as well I didn't have the money to offer it.

Jon, I admit I'm assuming a bit myself!!! As I think I sold near/on the going rate purely based on what other V6s have sold for, which is very similar money. Of course, their owners may have wanted to get shot quickly too! If you are willing to hang on its entirely possible someone may come along a pay a decent amount. Have to say though, that V6s up around the 14/15K mark are up against stiff competition from the S2 Elises, and although I enjoyed being a bit 'different' in the V6, I think the Lotus badge and resell value may make it a better proposition now, especially as the Elise styling IMHO is much improved on the S2..whereas GTM Styling has more or less stood still....but there you go, just my opinion.
looked at the lotus option before going the gtm route.
lotus costs loads on insurance and servicing and (dare i say it) has a dull sounding engine.
lack of use due to time constraints with work house etc is the only problem :-(
re previous post re turbo or supercharger on here - yes will take a charger - wont be for the faint hearted however ;-)
