Also got a free copy a few days ago and noticed the continued digs - but eliot, they aren't AT DT, they're BY DT.
Oh yeah - it was filby..
I dont get the ad on p23 then:
"Wanna buy some crap?
After 5 years rest, Den Tanner is going back into business doing what he always did best.
Yes he's selling cobra parts again.."
So he's selling crap parts?
PPC and Retro Cars for me too.
Incidentally, what was one of the main features in this edition of Kit Car ? Yep, you guessed it . . . another look at the Yank V8's by Mr Detail Dean. What a surprise !
Overall it was better though, except for the sniping. If they cut out the yank v8 stuff and no sniping it might be worth looking at again.

as a relative newcomer to the kit car scene I picked up a couple of mags about 18 months ago to see what was what and what was available.
I have to say the bickering that I read in the mags and one in particular put me off buying that mag again. It was like a couple of kids had their toys thrown out the pram and were having a spat.
Shows the mentality of the editors if after 18 months that I know about (and is probably much longer) that they let this sort of thing continue.
Professional magazines - well they might be if they got rid of that sort of stuff.

CRAP. Apparently stands for Cobra Replica Parts and Accessories. I don't know where DT is going with this idea.
That'll be CRPA then....

Oh bugger.
You get the idea though.
I know that it's Den, and he has his quirks, but I'm not sure I would want to go down the line of having CRAP as an acronym for a sales business!

Good old Den......

Think you'll find it's Cobra Replica Automotive Parts.
So who's going to be the first to phone him up and ask if he's got any parts to fit a Python...

Den Tanner has asked me to pass this on:-
"So Eliot.
Now that you've realised you've goofed. have you anything to say?

Yes, you’re right - the two adds for CRAP were genuine adds, it's fair to say that i did misinterpret the ads - fair enough - sorry. at least you have some free publicity for your CRAP though!
With regard to the first add - I was hoping after ~18 months that things would of moved on, clearly they haven't. I don’t even like the PY****, but I think you should leave people to make their own minds up.
The filby fact file details the story nicely, I dont think the magazine should be used as a conduit of your frustration.
Eliot.
