I heard today that Chesil makers of the speedster replicas have gone pop, pity if true cause that's another firm gone to the wall.

That would be shame if the case.
Love the Chesil Speedster, classy and different.

It's a shame if it's true, but many kitcar manufactures are going through hard times.....let's hope a few will survive.

I doubt if the above is true, I was at the MPH held at Earls Court on Friday and spoke to Chesil. Had quite a long conversation with Angus and all seemed ok with o mention of Liquidation etc.. Chesil would have been there till Sunday and are still operating as of today.

Something has happened, I was talking to one of my (And their) suppliers who received a letter from the Receivers this morning.
Real shame, pretty car.

Blimey, that really is worrying. Lovely product too, they had Jonathon Palmer in one at Brands the other day.

The situation as I understand it (and I don't know the full details)is that though the company is in the financial mire they're trying to make the necessary arrangements/agreements to enable them to carry on.

So looks like we'll have to see if the money men/creditors agree or decide to pull the plug.

Let's hope it's the former because it'd be a real shame to see Chesil go.

After speaking to Angus (MD) this morning there is an issue, but not as you describe it Graham. The company cant for legal reasons explain the full situation but it appears there is a disagreement of sorts with their bank. Chesil have been forced into this position but are confident that this mess can be sorted. They are still trading and can be contacted via phone or email. I do hope it can be sorted because their products are really top notch, really looking forward to reviewing the 550 soon…
