Hi folks - can anyone tell me the approximate price charged by scrap dealers to come and take away a Donor vehicle after you've removed just about everything worth having from it!

Cheers,
Pete.

Sell what you can on ebay and cut up the rest and take it to the scrap metal merchants. Its probably even worth hiring a trailer to take it down there. I got £45 for my last bare shell.

Once cut up a Morris 1100 and took the bits to the dumpit site.

Nobody told me the Hydrolastic suspension fluid was under ENORMOUS pressure, did they...?

Thanks for your input guys. It's almost funny how staggeringly much more you can get for an 'old bone' of a motor by parting it out onto Ebay rather than selling as a complete car - especially if the MOT's out. I think I'll now be looking forward to a busy cold January weekend with the engine hoist etc. and four concrete blocks !!
Cheers,
Pete.
