Hi,

brother been left a Silver (Spelling could be Silva or even Sylva ) Kit racing car. Single seating Ford running gear but is room for passenger seat etc. Cuurently only set up for racing.

Done the ususal searches etc cannot find any details, any body help with info please.

What we might do is make it road legal and do track days.

regards

A good place to start will be the Sylva club website - www.s-s-r.org.uk and the owners chatroom forums.

All the Sylva models are pictured, so you may be able to identify your car if it is one.

(though I think there was once was a company called Silva making weird vintage replicas)

Good luck

Does it have a correctly registered V5 (i.e. make and model of car correctly stated, not "Ford Escort" etc.)? If not then you might have to prepare the car for an SVA test.

Have a look here to identify the car www.spikynorman.dsl.pipex.com/SylvaWWWStuff/Kit.htm

That was Siva. They made lots of oddities, including vintage replicas, one of which found fame in Dr Who driven by John Pertwee.

I almost bought one a few years back.

www.tribbeck.com/cars/siva/ (I didn't know how to spell the name at the time, and it's not something I'm in a rush to change )
