Have a look in Kitcar Magazine. There are several companies advertise insurance specifically for kit cars. I've heard Adrian Flux is good and that's where I got my best quote.

Visit www.totalkitcar.com and search for the insurance companies list. More than you can shake a stick at.

Which 7 type kit car do you have? If its the Quantum extreme you can get insured for as little as £327 on any sort of quantum through the club.

I had a Locust when I was 18 and insured it for £498 with Footman James, but it was 3 party fire and theft and limited to 1500 miles. But that was fine for me.

I am with footman james. I am 29 but the biggest problem i have was that i wrote off my motorbike in June and becuase the payout was over £5k allot of insurance companies said they would not insure me.

Adrain Flux did quote too.

Ive just insured my Veranti Spyder with SureTerm Direct, and they were by far the cheapest about.

If you get a quote with them, and decide to go with it, then let me know and I'll be able to get you another £30 quid off maybe. Plus I'll get a tenner for being a customer and telling you about them.

I think you will find a lot of them go by engine size rather than performance, so I guess the bec could be cheaper to insure, but I would have thought that how much money it is insured for will make a difference as well.

Once upon a time maybe, but I don't think insurance companies are quite that silly..

Try Footman James. I had my first car with them at £350 a year unlmited mileage fully comp with an extensive list of mods declared.

The insurance is the best thing about kit cars if you're under 25!!

How may i ask i know i am under 21 but but i seem to find it very hard to find insurance companies that will even qoute me never mind how much they quote. i'll have to phone footman james has i am under 25 so they can not give an online qoute will try though.

Thanks again for the information.
