Hello, this is my first post.My K1-attack (What?) is on order and should arrive shortly, I have just about finished the strip down of my donor Honda Accord. Still looking for a Honda H22 VTEC engine to use in the K1. I have just registered with this forum and have been following www.attackforums.com and the www.attackbuild.com site for a while now which has given me some valuable help. Just wanted to register and see if you had anymore specific advice before I start. Thanx

Welcome aboard the nuthouse Emma wavey

No specific advice for you, but when you get it I'd love to have a poke about it at some point if you wouldn't mind!!!

One problem with the Attack seems to be a lack of information, but in reality it's only a car, so there should be virtually nothing that isn't overcomeable with a bit of thought, of which there are plenty on here that can help with

Hope to see lots of notes and pics on the build!

I'm impressed beyond words that you're building a K1. I looked at getting one rather than the house (my head won that one), along with some other cars. The lack of info really put me off though. I really hope your build goes well. If you want any special bits, the K2 carrage company are building them for turnkey sale and have some nice interior touches (but you probably already know that).

There's a wealth of advice around here, but make sure you take some of it with a pinch of salt

Good luck!

I was trying to get info on the Attack a couple of years back and really, really wanted to build one but the timing just wasn't right I guess and I built my Aeon instead - ah well I might be looking to build one this year so I will be following your progress then.

I think there was some development to fit the Duratech V6 in there, so it'd be even more like a Noble

The fully built versions are fitted with the Duratec, but K1 charge something like £50k for them. Stunning looking car, but not worth anything like that with standard Duratec power.

Better than K2 charging over 60k for one with a 4-pot Honda engine though
Has there been any movement from Dynamic Performance on getting a run in one for a review Graham?

To be honest Dave I got so fed up with not getting a reply I gave up on them ages ago.

The Attack has all the makings of a great car, but stupid prices and shoddy service are going to kill it.

For 50-60k you could have a Marcos or Noble - both of which come with a lot more power and proven chassis expertise. No contest really...

Thanx for the comments. I did originally contact Dynamic Performance but never got a response, so I got in touch with K1 direct and they explained that they were no longer distributing kits thru agents but trying to sell production cars only. They were prepared to sell me a kit (presumably as they still have parts available) which I am waiting to have delivered. I did visit K2 Carriage Co and saw their finished car, they have offered to help me if required (I'm sure it will be)I will let you know how I get on.

I will post some pictures when the kit arrives for now it's just cleaning and repairing the donor parts. Getting excited though!
