Ford Pinto Fan for a Westfield
Discussion
Anyone know if it is possible to get a smaller diameter fan to fit on the waterpump for a Pinto engined Westfield? Mine runs a little hot, but I was hoping that it might be possible to get a fan to run (in addition to the electric fan) to give some extra cooling.
I don't think that there is enough room to fit a standard 12" fan in there, but wondered if there was a smaller one that might not foul on the pipes or frame.

Have run a couple of 150bhp Pintos in the past and found that you only needed the fan in traffic, so suspect running hot might be due to a problem that an extra fan won't fix.
Could be something as simple as gunged radiator, so might be worth giving the cooling system and the rad in particular a good flushing. Another possible is are the temp gauge and sender matched? Ford sender with aftermarket gauge can give false readings.
