R888 and wheels

Well i have just had a birthday and as per usual nobody knows what to get me. I have been looking at a set of R888's for my Tiger Cat E1 as the rubber on it at the moment is sh!te. Currently i have a set of 14" alloys that are OK but i thought now somebody is buying me the tyres then maybe i can afford to get some new wheels too.

The Cat E1 is restricted to 14" wheels from what i understand so it is either 13" of 14". Any recommendations and pics would be very helpful. I do not want to spend loads but i do what them to look good and do the job at hand.

Also should i consider anything other than Toyo R888's?

I've had really good results on track with Yokohama AO48s, they're available in 13" and 14" and they look good too - not particularly cheap though, and they won't last forever!

Regarding wheels, I've just upgraded to 13" Compomotive CXR's in black from George Polley Motorsport, nice and light and look good as well.



I would have thought that you would be better going to 13" rims if you want sticky rubber.

Not yet, I've only had them on a a few days. These are from the Compomotive website, although neither are in black:





I have changed from 15" rims, but wanted something a bit more modern looking than the minilite style.
