Rather than believe what sellers say, could I canvas opinions about which replicas are good and which are not so. I'm considering changing the TVR for a 550 or 718. What should I look out for and what should I be careful about. Should 10/11k buy me a reliable fairweather drive. Thanks in anticipation of your views.

They will be very different drives. Most 550 reps are based around VW drivetrains but with new chassis with engine in middle. 718s are mostly beetle chassis, just shortened like a buggy.
