Stoneleigh - what can we expect?
Discussion
Thought it would be nice if manufacturers and magazines could give us a preview of what to expect at the Stoneleigh show this year.
Are the mags having big stands, showing some kits they have built/ tested or just the normal mag & book sales?
I know we can expect to see a new Lambo replica.
Will we see a Mev Rocket? With Italian styled bodywork?
It's only a couple of months away.

There's always one thing you can bet on at Stoneliegh... The Westfield Club stand will be a very ugly scence in the early hours of the morning!
They keep moving us further away from the main halls, soon we'll be in the car park!

I will definitely be bringing a MEV ROCKET along. It will be clothed in the minimalist body option as per my site's graphic. I would post pics but PC's are not my strong point and I don't know how to attach pics to this reply or if I'm allowed as it may be seen as an advert. Could someone help please. Kind regards Stig Mills

Hope to make it up there again this year then. That is a car I am interested in seeing in the metal.
We will be there with a Murtaya or two, plus some other things on the stand like a bare monocoque for people to look over (as there has been a huge amount of interest in the structural aspects of our car).
We will also have some customer cars in the car parks and on owners club stands including several Minaris that we have built, some 7 style vehicles and a Marlin.
We will be partying on the Minari Owners Register stand come the evening, which was right next door to the Westfield camp last year, we all had a very merry time!
Neil.

So currently we have:
Extreme Sportscars - Lambo Murcielago (rep)
Lancia Rallye 037 (rep)
MEV Rocket (with basic bodywork)
AMS Murtaya - inc a bare monocoque & other cars
Specialist Automotive RCR40 & RCR70 (GT40 & T70 rep's)
All pretty much new cars too.
We should get quite a list.
BTW, any PH'ers got their cars on show stands?

We're the Official Magazine Sponsor for Stoneleigh, and we're planning a big display at the show. My Sylva Riot SHOULD be on the stand (at whatever build stage I might have reached by then) and we're in the midst of organising a second display for our stand too. I can't say what it is yet, as it's not yet confirmed – but watch this space.
Our stand definitely won't be the books-and-trestle tables affair it's been in the past!
Adam.

As Ian and Den are mates now, does this mean Kit Car will have a stand?
Sorry, don't know if they normally do, but was aware they are not at Donington (and this is also a WK? show).

The Stoneleigh show is organised by Grosvenor Exhibitions, we have no say one who's there and who's not. We're merely sponsoring the show.
While Donington was always commonly referred to as a Which Kit Car? show, it was (and still is) owned by Limelight Exhibitions which is a sister company of Kit Cars Ltd, the former owner of the Which Kit Car? title.
The new company that owns the magazine is called Performance Publishing (owned by Ian Stent and Justin Williams) and doesn't organise any shows.
Hope that all makes sense!

Good luck with the magazine and the show. I have held off renewing my Kit Car subscription and am looking forward to choosing between the two titles on merit each month.
Can't make it to Stoneleigh this year as away for the weekend with the wife and bairns. Tried to persuade her that a round trip on the Monday from the Lakes to Stoneleigh would work...

I'd love to see one of you RCR70s in the flesh
The pics on your site make it look like a very tidy package.
