Right well after much research i have ordered my OZ SuperTurismo GT's with TOYO R888's from a company that was i thought doing me a good deal, called me back after 3 days and said the charged me the wrong amount and could they have £70 more, but that is a different story.

Basically i have got 14" wheel on the Cat at the moment with 186x60x14 tyres. Now the idea was to get exactly the same size so that i knew they would slots straight on.

I have just been over on the Locost Builders website and notice a post that suggested that TOYO R888's come up wider than they are, to the point where a 185 tyre is actually more than a 195. Because i do not want to mess about with the wings i want to stay the same.

Has anyone experienced whether this is the case?

Also what else should i look at instead of the Toyo's?

Mainly fast road driving, not many miles in the year, possible track day this year.

If it's any help, on my 15" wheels Toyos are exactly the same width as the F1s on the second set of wheels.

It's hardly a big decision unless money's really tight. Go with the Toyos, if you don't like them then book a couple of airfield trackdays and hoon around to give yourself an excuse to replace them.

Tyre sizes do tend to be rather nominal and the actual sizes can vary a bit, not just between different manufacturers but even between different 'models' of tyre from the same manufacturer. Just one reason why it's not a good idea to mix tyres across an axle.
