I'm trying to get a set of wheels for my Riot – and basically my only requirements are that they're 15in x 6.5in (or narrower) and black. It's turning out to be more difficult than it should be. Anyone have any ideas where I get some? Help will be gratefully appreciated!

Adam.

Buy a second hand set you like, have them blasted and powder coated black ?
Costs me $20 a wheel, cash in hand locally.

I got some Compomotive wheels, and asked them to paint it gold. So, I don't think there'll be a problem getting it in black.

Alternatively, paint them yourself (I did that on my first kit car - took the rubber off, blasted them and then painted in gun-metal grey).

Thanks for the ideas, guys. I've found a set now which aren't quite black (they're called 'Hyperblack'), but I think they'll suit the car well.

Anybody know what make the lovely 8-spoke wheels which the riot wears in the press adverts are? I think they look fantastic and mailed the company to ask where they come from but got no reply.

I can't remember the make, but I seem to remember Jeremy telling me had a problem getting any more of them. I'm speaking to him again later, so I'll find out...

Adam.
Don't you get stuff like wheels handed out as 'promotional material'.
If not you must be doing something wrong.

I wish! It's been a nightmare finding a company that actually called back when they said they would, which I now eventually have. Third time lucky!

Close, but no cigar! The Team Dynamics wheels are 10 spoke and the ones on the Riot are 8 spoke. See pic below.

The Riot wheels that Sylva uses are the 'Pro-fin' made by Performance Alloy Wheels in Australia:

Not sure of a uk distributor, but at least you now have a lead to go on...

Hope that helps!

The UK distributor of that makes of wheels in Performance Wheels (www.performwheels.co.uk) who I have found very helpful - but those 8-spoke rims don't appear to be available any more.
