Don't suppose it was anyone on here?

Cycled past the most beautiful blue 427 SC replica (I assume) last night parked outside the pub on Galleywood Common lick

Not a huge Cobra fan, but that made me want to dribble.

But I thought that would have been a bit weird and there were people watching, so I just rode past.

Yep - some of the time! I live in Moulsham lodge, when not in London. Quite strange actually, I have a kit car on the way and so I've been sussing out garages - went to look at one last night and there were three houses with competition cars on trailers outside them on that road. I'm seceretly begining to suspect Chelmsford is some sort of motorsport nirvana.

Interesting.

Think I saw the same car joining the M25 from the A12 the other day (co-incidence I hasten to add, fear not Cobra owners I'm not stalking you!) and going past the pub again a few days later, there was a Lotus Sunbeam parked in the same spot outside!

I'll have my Sylva down here by next weekend, so maybe a local kit car meet is in order smile

The local arm of the Robin Hood Owners' Club has a monthly kit car meeting (for all marques) at the Tulip in Springfield. I went along to it a few months ago and there was a good turnout. I'll find out when the next one is...

Is it strictly RH or would a few interlopers be tolerated? smile

There's also Chelmsford Motor Club. Been meaning to join for a while - they seem to be quite active with things like autotests and gymkhanas, plus some quite seriosu rallying IIRC.

Interlopers are encouraged rather than just tolerated! Chelmsford Motor Club sounds interesting (although I don't live in Chelmsford, I'm there quite a lot...).

ETA: The next meet at the Tulip is Sunday 28th October 12 noon to 2pm.

The RH people welcomed me to The Tulip with my plastic creation. They are publicised on www.locostbuilders.co.uk along with some other meets.
I've always found the Locost people to be really, really friendly and even talk to me sometimes... smile

I must admit, I've found that to be the case too.

I was involved in building a Locost whilst I was at uni and ended up on there from time to time, but forgot about it for a while. I've since gone on there in the past few months, firstly when I was wondering what to get and more recently with Sylva questions and I've always got a very good response.

Whereabouts in Springfield is the Tulip (my local geography is terrible!) weekends tend to be a bit manic for me, but I'll come down if I get the chance, assuming the car isn't on axle stands smile
