I had my Tiger tuned at McDonald Racing in Lanchester, and the chap there did a very good job. Cost was around £200 for about 4 or 5 hours work including rejetting twin 45s, so not too bad.

What sort of kit has he built? It would be great to find another kit car owner around here.

Its a light weight robin hood engineering lotus seven type replica.

Its all aluminium, rivited with ford running gear including a tuned 2 litre pinto with twin 40 webbers - think its just about finished hence the need for tuning.

Cheers for the response - will pass on.

I've got an old trailer if you need one to take it to the rolling road - I took my Tiger to McDonald Racing on it.

Can deliver it if you want as I'd quite like a look at one of those RH Lightweights to see how the ali tub works.

Whereabouts in the North East are you?

You could do a lot worse than Bogg Brothers at East Lutton near Scarborough, if it's not too far.

Their dyno is ridiculously optomistic (they've had my Crossflow reading over 155bhp at the wheels!) but they are the best in the business when it comes to making a Weber-equipped engine give smooth, tractable power.

I'll second Bogg Brothers, Dave certainly knows his carbs.
