I always liked the look of these wee beasties but I know bu**er all about them. As a real ones out the question, can someone please point me in the direction of some kind of resource/forum where I can find out more about the different types so I can make some kind of informed decision about buyng one sometime in the future. The classifieds have quite a few and some look very tempting...

Current issue of totalkitcar magazine has a group test of 10 of the beasties which should give you a good overview of the market.

If you can't find a copy in your local WH Smiths or Tesco then you can order a copy online at www.totalkitcar.com

All I'd say is, please don't buy a 2.0 litre sierra based one. Make sure it's a V8 or something decent biggrin

This is the best UK forum for Cobra kit cars

http://www.cobraclub.com/forum/

The trouble with Cobra kits is there's so damn many of them, and 90% of them are just tack TBH.

But it depends on how close you desire to be to the original I suppose.

I lloked into it a few years back as since childhood a 427 Cobra has been one of my two ultimate dream cars.

But, the best kit in terms of accuracy is not surprisingly a USA one, (namely ERA Replicas) and that causes BIG problems with UK SVA.....so I binned the idea.
