Hi everyone, does anyone have experience in starting a new owners club for a brand of Car. When I previously owned a Quantum there were some nice little benefits such as insurance deals etc that came as part of the club, but as there are no such things for a Veranti I would like to start my own.

Where do you start? Do you have to register a club anywhere? Does it cost anything?

You can just set a club up your self.. probably best to talk to the manufacturer first to see if they will help you out, allow you to be an official owners club, but you dont need to.

start by arranging some local meets and putting letters out to the kit car mags. see if it takes off from there and as it gets bigger you can start to formalise things..

some clubs are run by one person, some by committee and the bigger ones tend to become ltd companies..

I set up the Aeon Owners Club myself (http://www.aeonownersclub.com) - just a matter of chatting to some of the other owners, registering a domain, writing some PHP/HTML and then it was live.

Fairly painless, and it was a joy the first time I was asked to do a valuation of another member's car (which meant I needed to make some letterhead!)

If you've got any questions, PM me!

Ok, I sent you an email, ta. Nice looking Aeon by the way. If you ever want anything photoshopping for your site as a favour then let me know.
