Hi,

Is anyone still making kit cars using the original mini as a donor? I know there used to be a few

Thanks

This list is quite canonical as to what is and was available. I've got one of these (although not in that hideous colour scheme and that isn't me; there are allegedly only 4 of these left, including mine):

As a teenager I was a Mini-"Nut" and had a 69 Morris Cooper , and then a 1430cc race motor'd Mini Special 1100 once a joy rider sadly relieved me of my beloved Cooper and totalled it. When the Cooper was written off I seriously thought about using a GRP Shell : the DOMINO PIMLICO kit , which was a modernised copy of a mini either as hard top or targa osft top . Were manufactured on South Coast near Southampton I believe. I test drove one and was impressed but never did get round to doing one. Try typing Domino Pimlico into GOOGLE and see if there are still any about.
