Guess the BHP?
Discussion
My Tiger has never been on a rolling-road and when people ask it's BHP I just give a conservative guess, what do you think:
- Fully rebuilt 2 Litre Ford Pinto
- Kent FR32 Cam
- Vernier Cam pulley
- Weber 38DGV Carb with an ITG air filter poking out of the bonnet
- Standard Tiger exhaust
- Timing set up accurately
I know it's got enough power to keep me happy but any guesses?
Thanks

Some rolling roads can be a little more, ahem, flattering than others. My 2-litre Pinto on twin Webers (otherwise standard) puts out 120bhp. It was tested on Northampton Motorsport's rollers, which are pretty accurate (ie when a standard engine is measured, it's pretty close to the book output).
My Tiger super 6 was as follows:
Fully rebuilt block, balanced and line bored crank, new pistons etc. Fully gas flowed and ported cylinder head, modified dizzy, the biggest inlet and exhaust valves possible, FR32 cam, vernier pulley, twin 45's etc etc etc. Setup and dyno tuned at Sanspeed engineering and chucking out just short of 160Bhp and cost a fortune to build. Last one I shall ever do, went like stink thou!!
