Interesting - reminds me a bit of a few things (but nothing substantial for any of them).

20K seems a bit much though! And they could do with some more pictures.

ETA: Unless there's some really special engine in there - although I can't see any mention of what drives it (I could be blind though smile )

Ford RoCam developed in South Africa, 1.6 Liter with 90 Hp.

Interesting... looks a lot like the old Tripos. I wonder if it's related?

Chris Smith obviously couldn't keep out of the Seven market... I don't think hs old company has much to worry about just yet, though!

That roll over hoop isn't going to be much use to that test driver. I always check the height when I get into a kitcar.

Like this one, little different to the normal 7's.

The figures in that article don't make sense. 94bhp at 5,500rpm, 135lbft of torque at 4,250rpm. 135lbft = 109hp, so why quote a lower hp value? scratchchin

Course my maths could be wonky wink

Cheers,
Rob

I have got to say that I much prefer this one as a road car http://www.racecar-collection.com/images/B8/B8-1.j...

or this one http://bringatrailer.com/2007/10/28/shocklingly-fa...

or http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:Chevron_B8...

I would much rather buy one of these instead of the flattened looking Caterham IMHO

In fact I like the the look of this style http://www.flickr.com/photos/retromotoring/4604239...
I wonder if then made one, would it get through the sva?

It is complicated but the seven type car is nothing to do with Chris Smith. If you read the telegraph article it shows what has happened.

Look closely, either that guy has got one hell of a long neck, or it's been Photoshopped.

An odd choice, there is almost no aftermarket support for this relatively primitive cast iron engine. One of the Zetec SE engines would be been a much better proposition.

For that money you'd be looking for a tuned Duratec or similar. 200BHP not 90...

Nice looking car though, needs work.
