Any care to take a guess?

Just one of the interesting cars I saw at Autosport.

The GTM 40TR is looking nicer now too:

Top one bears more than a passing resemblance to a Renault Spider!

A little closer to the kit car world and British.

It seems like that from the original Strathcarron, you now have the
Marlin, the Javan, and now the MMI Avocet..........any more looking for the same old mould......biggrin

I think it looks like they wanted to build two cars, one rail type, one streamlined full body, couldn't decide which to go for so just did a bit of each.

Awful.

I agree with you........but I'm pretty soon those rails will dissappear...., but it does look a little better than the first concept.......biggrin

hehe couldn't have been any worse, could it?!

If they lose the rails and finish the bodywork off, I think it'll look tempting (going on the front end anyway)

In the flesh, that GTM is 10x better than the original concept.

As for the top pic, will mentioning Strathcarron help?

Italo

That is a Jetstream.

It is a limited production car (not a kit), developed in Cornwall. Designed using advanced CAD techniques, it predominantly uses Vauxhall running gear with the engine coming from the VXR.

Italo
Thanks for looking at my site.

I have just added a car called the Climax in the 'special sports' form Autosport. I think it is the sort of thing you'll like.

Thanks for the info Mark, I guess it's a modern CC Cyclone , that was using the same Vauxhall running gear coming from the old GSI.

The styling is a little unique.........I like the Stratos windscreen !

Some nice pics you have there.

I love the look of the Climax, saw it at Goodwood. Am I right in thinking they are planning an electric only version?

ETA: I'm not going to try and check any further... beware googling for info on the climax...

Jetstream. Brian Rossi styling? Not sure about styling. And I do not fancy doing 165mph in that, officially that should say over 180mph on its speedo!!!
I thought it was designed by schoolkids or something when I saw it. The old saying, it cost no more to produce a pretty car than an ugly one, just talent, springs to mind.

And the 40TR (if it goes into production) will pretty much look like that, side bits an'all. It has had it's re-style, and that is the finished article pretty much. However, the chassis will supposedly be tweaked a bit to differ from the Spyder it is based on. The road version will have extra bodywork around the rear wheels and engine though for SVA.

Nice Pics!

Saw this at Goodwood FoS. Very nice car, but doen't photograph that well.

Top one looks very much like a Marlin 5exi/Stathcarron (sp?) to me.

Sorry, Italo did mention the name of the 1st car. Its an MM Industries Avocet. The car is based on the Strathcarron.

The official press release for the Avocet says:
'MM Industries, which now owns the former Strathcarron sportscar business, is presenting its production Avocet two-seater during the show's two trade days, prior to a public launch later in the year'

Spec is either 150bhp or 225bhp (Duratec) with an all up weight of 700kg.
It retains the original Reynard designed chassis, which has been further developed.

I do like the back end:
