Hi all
I'm thinking a lot about a dax rush project. But I'm not convince with motorbike engine or cosworth sierra engine. Do you think that is possible to fit inside an engine more prestigious like an BMW M3 or porsche.

thanks in advance all

king regards

There have been all sorts of engines in the Rush, talk to Peter at Dax and ask him, he'll probably ask you for the dimensions of the engine and gearbox so have them ready.

You fit a Flat 6 Porsche engine into a Rush very easily! The straight 6 BMW engines are rather long, though you might just squeeze one in. Just FYI the Luego Viento was designed to take large V8's etc.

The M3 straight 6 is likley to be too long (boo!)

But a BMW V8 would fitin a Rush and has been done already I think....

Rover V8s (like my 4.6ltr Range rover motor) fit nicely in the Rush, as do even bigger / heavier American V8s , such as Chevy 5.7ltr.

As the other rush Owner says, give Gary a call at Dax (D J Sportscars) and he can give advice, and if you have the engine dimensions already he will be able to confirm yes/no to each contender.

Chassis is capable of handing > 400 BHP so you have plenty of choice !

PS - Dax Rush Kits are pretty simple afairs to put together ; mainly because they are well made / well designed. I'd never built a kit car before this one, and am so thrilled with finished article I've not thought about doing another, since anything else would probably disappoint !!
