Hello everyone. Ive read in a few places that it can be cheap for young people to insure kit cars if they want something sporty. I'm 17 and am currently driving a Fiat Punto but i really want something a bit more interesting to drive. Could anyone enlighten me as to what kit car i could buy and insure cheaply? I'd be willing to pay about £2000 for a car and £1000 on insurance. Im not even sure that £2000 would get me a kit car, so sorry if its a stupid question!
Thanks, Mike.
Thanks, Mike.
I think the main cars you would be looking at would be GTM's, Midas and Quantum's.

and a short answer on your prices... it's very possible to get a kit car for £2000, if you get one of the less popular kits they hold value like a colander holds water! It's a long time since I was 17 so not sure on the £1k for insurance but worth phoning someone like adrian flux and getting their thoughts.
