What happened to the Panther lima and kallista ?, who owns the brand and moulds ?, is it still in the UK ?
I've always liked them, and it would be interesting to see a restyling, maybe using the Marlin cabrio chassis with a Bmw engine.....

a few pictures.

Probably still owned by a Korean.

Chris Rees - British Specialist Cars said:
The Kallista was basically a simplified but enlarged Lima. Its aluminium body panels (in place of the Lima's glassfibre) were made in Korea and shipped over to Byfleet, Surrey, to be assembled into complete cars.

These first caught my eye as a teenage boy reading Fast Lane in the early 80s. I think the more modern take makes them look a bit dated now and not as attractive as the Marlin. They seem to hold their prices quite well, mind.

That's ok.., it's the first retro roadster I saw In Italy in 1980, and at the time it was unique and exotic......

Now I know better, but I still like them for some strange reason........maybe because I was younger then ?..biggrin, or it's just like your first love........

See you at Stoneleigh mate !

Cheers
Italo

A restyled Concept prototype was done in 1995-6......but dissapeared soon after.

I think the first Solo was the best, the production version wasn't as resolved in its design.

Another example of a car costing much more to make than it actually sold for. A real shame as it was a fantastic looking car.

I have always secretly liked the Panther Six too. Maybe its not so secret now though. confused
