just purchashed a 1990 westfield 1700 x flow hopeing for some decent summer weather , but unsure what type of car alarm to fit as old fashioned ignision system on the car rather than the more easily alarmed ecu systems
I had a quick release steering wheel boss kit on mine, pretty effective - found alarms just killed battery when car stood for weeks on endyou can fit any alarm. I have a cat 1 on mine for insurance.. all they do is break the supply to various items, like ignition, fuel pump or whatever you want.
Easy to fit as you havent got to wire hardly anything in! like window motors, doors ect.
I have a microwave sensor on mine which gives a warning 'volume' around the car.
Battery has never gone flat.

I also have a quick release wheel.. insurance dont consider it a anti theft device.. idiots.
