V4, 210bhp (de-tuned from 290bh), shaft drive, 9500rpm red line, and circa 1800cc so plenty of torque. Do we have the perfect BEC powerplant?

nice engine, but wonder at the final price of a used example in the future ?

MCN reckon circa 12k for the bike. Westfield used to charge 5k for a Busa engine as they had to buy and break the bike. A busa was circa 9k new, so you're probably looking at £7-8 for brand new engine, 5k for a second hand one. Thing is, compare this against a powertec 200bhp engine 1k + plus the cost of the engine. 230bhp is 4k plus cost of engine.

No smile

In all but name its basically a car engine. 1.8 - 2L, ~200bhp, probably weighs in excess of 120kgs so if you're solely after performance, you might as well fit a Honda Vtec or a Vx Red top for a lot less cash / hassle. Would have great novelty value though.

If its anything like the old Vmax it will also weigh the equivalent of 3 Pinto's.
