I rarely hear from him. He sent me (amongst many other CC'd recipients) some pics of a recently completed Python on Sri Lankan plates, so I can only assume things have settled down out there and he's still making cars.

definitely doesn't look like the current RVD Hardtop, missing the shaping of the roof, its concave in the middle, convex towards the outside to allow for more head room, and has a turnbuckle at the leading edges to allow for a quick fit and release. looks quite smart to put it mildly. Had some photos like Adam but wont put up here as don't want to start any more shinanigans off.

Are you talking about the Python roof, Dave? Because you have just described the shape of the roof above exactly!! It had a double-bubble shape which doesn't show up well in the pics.

I wonder if I have stumbled upon a Python!!!!!!

BMW steering column cowling..........its a Python.

Ak also use BMW columns but they have their own hard top.
