I like this concept and think it is time for some 'good' F40, Porsche GT1, Macca F1, Bug EB110 type cars... Such as this! A great period for supercars, even if they didn't all sell too well!

How much is it going to be? I am guessing a fair bit of cash!

It is a timeless shape and could be fairly 'authentic' with an XKR supercharged V8 and suspension bits and pieces! And definitely very quick. May make a nice alternative to an Ultima.

Does anyone know anymore? How far along are they?

Seem to remember a few real ones for sale recently for around £100k after being "re-commissioned". Cannot see good replicas coming in at much less than that??

I'm thinking 30k upwards. Can't see why it'll be more than an Ultima.

It's a very nice idea. I'd love to see some group C Le Mans replicas - it's the only way I'm ever going to own something like a Porsche 962

It would be awesome to have or see a XJ220 replica on the road. As said a tuned up XK/JR SC V8 could provide some serious power and not that much off the output of the original car, SC whine may spoil it a bit but i wouldn't care!
Great idea.

I was thinking that it ought to come in around the same price as a nice Ultima or Diablo/ Murci replica... So probably anything between £30k and £50k, when you have added some options and got it built.

I would also LOVE a Group C replica and have been looking to build one myself and have a thread running on Locostbuilders. It's just proving quite hard to track all the parts I need down and devote the time necessary to get it done!

I've been lurking and watching that thread with interest. Sadly building one is beyond my means (time and money) at the moment. One day though!

I'd buy a replica Xj 220, with a slight design update to the exterior an engine.......

I'm sure that you'ld have quite a few enthusiasts, interested in the exotic sportscar.

I looked at a bodyshell on the gold coast with thoughts as to buying the moulds. It would have made an interesting project. the guy had already done a 427 & a GT40.

Is this any relation to the TWR that made the originals?

They do seem to offer a lot of kits for a normal kit car company.
