I've managed to damage a wheel on the back of my Vindicator and I'm having serious trouble finding a replacement. They're 14", 195 6J with a small offset - probably ~15mm. I'm thinking they were probably off a Capri or Cortina. Anyone have a pair or full set of something suitable? Cheaper the better! Alternatively anyone know a good source for old school foprd wheels?

I'm not sure if MX5 wheels would be any good to you?

Heres some wheels which clame to be MX5 and might give you the sizes. But lots of MK1 MX5's came with 14" wheels

I think the offset (how much the hubs are indented) is wrong. It's this which is causing me the problems as most new cars have too high an offset (too little indentation) and the wheels rub the arches at the back. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I have a set of Sierra 14" steelies i got from Bridges breakers near Gatwick airport. A whole £8 each! They fit the Phoenix fine, albeit giving a slightly narrower track than the Caterham 14" alloys i normally run. i painted them with trick Aluminium paint and they look like classic Dunlop steels. There are several different offsets available i just took the widest.

That offset is most likely from a Peugeot (or Citroen) not a Ford. The PCD is the same but Ford usually have an offset around ET38 whereas Peugeot usually have an offset around ET15.

Robin Hoods are often (usually) built to take Peugeot offset wheels on their Ford hubs. Maybe Vindicators are the same.

Thanks elwe, that makes all kinds of sense. I was fixed on the idea that they had to be Ford. I'll pick up a cheap set of Peugeot alloys.

I've got a pair of 14inch KN 5-spoke alloys, fitted with almost unused 185/60 Yoko 520's.
I think they are 6 inches wide.
They are the correct offset for Rear-wheel drive Fords.
They came off my Fury.
They are a few years old, but only ever did ~100 miles, hence as-new.
They're in Newbury, Berks if interested.
