I have two requests:

1) I would like to know who still manufactures RS200 replica kits. Banham have been sold on - RS Automotive seem to be out of business, so links would be appreciated to the companies still in business.

2) Has anybdy on here built an RS 200 kit? How much Sierra does it use - for example are the side windows from a 2 door or a 4 door etc.

Any help or perspective would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

Link not working?

The only company I know of at the moment is the one that uses a Subaru floorpan and all parts including the dashboard ect. If you just want the external look of an RS200 then its fine, and will drive well obviously. Personally I would try to track down a KARA or RS Automotive version second hand, i would be wary of investing £10+K with any company (other than the Subaru based one which seems legit) pushing an RS200 replica in todays climate.

If major financial institutions can go bust then so can any kit car firm.

The right way to buy a kit is to pay a deposit (but no more than you can afford to lose) then pay the rest when you collect the ENTIRE kit. Do not buy piecemeal.
