Well, if you look at the prices that Jesters have sold for recently, then you'll know what they are worth.
Oh, hang on, you've only just bought yours! Did you steal it, or pay too much?
Have the mods you have done: increased value; maintained value since it was only normal upkeep; or reduced value due to their being 'individual' in style?

As you have just bought it isn't the value going to be more or less what you paid for it?
Is it me? Am I missing something?

Hmm, Flux.
Insured a Caterham with them, then decided to PX it for another within about a month of the renewed insurance. Flux said they wouldn't "upgrade" my cover for the new car. Basically they wanted me to pay for the original car in full and sort out the new car separately.
Couldn't believe it. How is anyone supposed to buy a new car if their insurance isn't flexible enough to let them?
In the end I'd only actually paid for the initial deposit, and hadn't signed the Direct Debit forms so we jointly cancelled my insurance. It was a disproportionate amount to pay for a single month's cover but at least I wasn't screwed for the whole year's amount.

boy its hard work on here, i only wanted some background info and all i get is sarky comments... well nearly. odd exceptions granted. to me its sensible to speak with people with first hand dealings so i am armed up when making the call... and why i cant get ball park figures on car values are behond me..
there are such things as gifts items being left from decessed etc etc so come on guys i give you all another chance... or maybe i have to own a 10k kit car to get any reconition (excuse the spelling as im loosing faith here)

From what I understand there's no soft top with it?
Think about what the weathers been like, any buyer who wants it and isnt less than 10 miles away is going to think twice about driving it back home on collection, and then driving it over the winter unless they stump up for a roof. You're going to need to persuade people financially to take it.
The short ownership. Rings alarm bells and it doesnt matter what you say. There's a nasty lurking somewhere if you're selling so soon after buying. More money off
The "toy car" feel. I dont mean the car itself, but a lairy no roofer with a print and an interesting appearance isnt going to appeal to everyone, and probably wont be a main car.
I'm not saying you wont sell it, you just might struggle with shifting it quickly unless you encourage someone to kick you in the nads
Seriously, you're better keeping it if you dont need the cash for the Tiv and sticking it in a garage. If you dont have a garage spare now, rent one from the council, they're about £6 a week. And they charge 15% VAT

The way the market is, put it up for sale now. Its not like you are selling an Audi TT, there are only a few Jesters out there, if somebody wants one they will buy it now. PH is free, a no-brainer to advertise it now if you definately do not want it. But you may not get a buyer until the weather improves, and be prepared for some stupid offers!

thanks a couple of decent replies so there is hope on here, no urgent cash requirement its garage space really thats all. as it was mentioned short ownership rings alarm bells can partly see that but ive always been a car slut and go thru them . purely so that ive had them done that etc etc, jags cerbs chims custom the list goes on. any inspection on a car will remove any fears!! what i cant understand is why i cant see these noddy cars up for sale any where.. i need to guide my price by whats on the market. stingray seem to think an early mk1 around 500 to 1500 and a later mk2 more.i will put it on pis heads when i have the photos of the car with the graphics. personalised or not these cars are a cross between a buggy and a nod car so its different, and will attract some attention. if any one knows of one for sale please advise well appreciated... my graphics will be on a tribal / dragon theme... i like it any way.. thanks chaps

Oh well; if you only want possitive(sic) things said; then you're in the wrong place!I admit that the start of my post was pretty sarcastic, but the bit at the end is relevant to setting a sale price.
In an earlier post I said:

dont mind a bit of banter, as i wouldnt have got a jester. ha ha but a little bit of sensible replies from time to time is reqd ta chaps.. i am going to personalise the jester with graphics if it reduces poss sales so be it but if some one likes it they will be over the moon big time may put it up next week for around the 2k mark see ya

You may be able to cancel under the 14 day cool off period so act quick if you want to do anything, They are well know for being a very crap company to deal with ref customer service so be warned.

no refund policy,,, so will keep it insured they dont tell you its a non refundable policy when you take it out as its silly money wont worry,, but im the sort of person that would take it further if I woke up wrong side of bed" as im sure things are not as they say legally if I were to persue the matter... dont care about the £130 but I also would travel to the moon to persue a matter for a fiver if I felt the need !!!!! well thats the way things are..bye bye
