Ford SOHC (Pinto): Camtec camshaft..anybody knows them?
Discussion
i found out that my 1,6l pinto has a cmatec camshaft fitted, also some really nice fabricated camtec rockers.
i searched the web, found some info about a company named "camtech", also some other people in other forums searching info about camtec but always receive replies for "camtech".
it seams that there a 2 comanies with nearly the similar name?
finally i want to know what kind of camshaft is fitted to my engine:
stamped on longside of camshaft:
camtec
ZC369
at the end of camshaft:
1.6
NFB
so is it a standard cam, which replaced a worn original shaft in the past r is it a sports cam?

thanx for this reply.
that confirms what i thought.but it seams that they made really good quality.
yeah...years ago the qualtiy was much better than today....a shame!!!
the cam-followers, fitted to my engine do have an extreme good quality, they look even better than the orignal ford ones, not to compare with these cheapish aftermarket ones sold by burton or whoever!!
