I think they are cracking cars, but quite hard to come by.
It might be worth a post here:

There was nothing in the for sale section, but someone on there might be able to point you in the right direction.

Excellent choice sir
Are you looking for a road-legal one or track only ?

What are people's view of them? I was lucky enough to be invited to MIRA when Westy were developing it. Whilst it was very very fast through the corners, I found it a very anodyne experience. The back to back passenger rides I had in the XTR2 and their seven revealed the seven to be a much more involving and exciting experience. Up until that point I would have swapped my Megabird for one, but was left oddly unimpressed. It was also extremely cramped with an odd driving position.

The driving position might be a little odd for a road-car but it's within the normal range for a race-car. LOTS of fun but a little tiring for a long cruise.A Se7en might be more fun for getting the tail out on the B roads but I would have my XTR2 ahead of any Se7en around a decent track.
If you went when Westfield were still developing it (that was a long time back), was it the XTR original or a XTR2 ??

Undoubtedly it was much quicker than the seven round a track, but back to back it felt very - numb - for want off a better word. The technique was very much, work up to the max speed for the aero package and then turn in at the speed, with very little input from the driver. Whereas the seven was (and IME also with mine) a much more involving car to pedal quickly.
Do you not find yours a bit too quick for TDs, or do you race yours? I would imagine they suffer the same problems as radicals et al - that is, you're forever stuck behind a slower car.

I always thought I would move to a Radical after the Megabusa I have now, until someone said almost exactly the same sentance as you did.I find that on the smaller circuits I have to do a fair bit of waiting to pass others in the Busa, so the problem would be amplified even more in a car with big downforce I should imagine.

Too quick? No such thing
I do a few dual sprints and hillclimbs but mostly trackdays.
Thankfully my favourite track (the A1 GP track at Taupo) has lots of passing opportunities, our trackdays are not as crowded as most UK ones, and most of the drivers are very well behaved. With the extra speed differential I can pass anything almost at will without being held up.
And the typical cost of a trackday down here is equivalent to £35 - £50. Jealous much?

I would love one, just the look and no doubt an even more exciting feel to actually be inside a cockpit so to speak. I would love to have a go in one and feel just how different it is to the Megabusa. (who wouldn't? lol)
I too have heard before that the aerodynamics make it a more dull experience to a Seven, but who knows? Maybe the extra pace makes up for that!

While I was getting up to speed with the XTR2 taking passengers made me more nervous than the passengers were. But now, once I've had a few solo runs early in the day I now find it much more fun to give people rides.

Got to watch out when coming up behind those 111R's though . . . they chuck stones up to visor height.
