I just found this link, and was wondering if IKEA is going to be manufacturing kitcars in the future ?

If this is true, I could see a revolution coming in the automotive industry........but I guess we will have to see the final product on March 31st.

We would need a french speaking member........but from what I understood, the guys is the designer of the Leko, an environmentally friendly automobile of the future.

It will be an inexpensive modular car, with various design configurations, I understood he also said cabriolet ?,

This PH thing is great, trouble is every time I look on here I finish up sat on the edge of my seat. First Italo then Qdos and now Ikea. I wonder if the tools come with the latter. The date for launch is prior to April 1st unless my maths is wrong

You'll only need one Allen key.

Yeah, and it'll be smaller than you expected, made of Pine and fall to bits on no time at all.

Even worse, you'll have to go through the whole store before you can get to section in the warehouse were this is stocked. It'll come in 70 odd boxes and the one vital box will be out of stock. At home you'll find the packaging was hiding a damaged panel or there are missing parts and not enough bolts, screws or way to many leaving you wondering if you've left something not fixed! Oh the joy of ikea products!

From what I understand you are right, he gives all the blurb about practicality, low emissions ect, a bit of journo speak, but I think does also say that its a concept not a product..

LOL if I were to tell you that my father was responsible for the Hygena QA system way way back in the early Seventies you might figure I'm rather fond of the cardboard box approach wink I wonder how many they will supply the car in!

can't get that to work. I thought it had been leaked it was just a car share scheme in France or something similar though?

Yep.........a car share scheme is what I understand......it's a slow running video, and you see the blanket come off and nothing under it, and he starts talking about something related to car sharing....
