how its possible to have a ford escort chassis no. on a Locost which is stated as seven-replica under "make" in the v5? date of 1st reg is from the donor (mid 70ies).

Do you know how old the car actually is? It could have been built before the SVA and as such just required an MOT, and would have used the old donor car chassis number. Come the SVA there was then an amnesty for such cars that had been on the road for a while, and they just had their V5's updated to give a correct make.

car was build around 1990 and passed its anually mot-tests.

according to the owner the car always had this registration and the v5 was never updated, which should mean that it always was named as seven-replica under make.

As I suspected, it's pre-SVA. Looks like the builder got the DVLA to change the make over. Sometimes they did and sometimes not. Nothing to worry about with a car of it's age.
