Hi all,

Having completed a fair amount of research and visiting the Detling show at the weekend I have narrowed down my search to either an MK Indy or a Stuart Taylor/Aries Motorsport locost.

However I really cant make my mind up until I have been in one so I thought I might try and see if there were any local owners of either model who would be happy to take me for a blast?!!

I am also undecided about bike engine or car engine so would be very glad to hear from owners of either type

Many thanks

Could be worth asking on Locostbuilders.co.uk as you may have more chance, I looked at a few MK's before I decided on the MNR

out of interest what made you choose the MNR over the MK?

There where a few reasons but the main one being the chassis construction / design, also a number of people who had already built MK's saying that they had sold their MK's and where now building MNR's, don't get me wrong the MK is still a good kit

There is a significant differance in final build price probably in the region of 3-4k, but I am covinced the extra is worthwhile......I will just have to wait and see!!!

Hi sorry but live in midlands i have a STM locoblade and am very happy with it. I think it's all about taste really the MK is good, a bit heavier i think, but just because there are alot around doesn't mean they are the best. Look around find a kit you like at a good price and whatever it is and that will be the best for you.

Hi guys and thanks for the feedback.

I think I am going to take a day trip up north to visit both factories and make a decision following that.

Cheers
