Looking for a company that makes a closed body for a mid engines race car in the style of a Porsche 904, or Ginetta G12 etc. of about 92'' wheeelbase.

Any ideas please?
Graham.

I know Fran Hall of Race Car Replicas did one or two, Cayman based (904), but he is in the US...

There was a thread in the Porsche 917 section of the GT40s forum (http://www.gt40s.com/forum/) about someone else making one, he may have been in the UK or Europe...

Otherwise, can't think of much outside of the GTM Libra that is small, closed and mid engined... Maybe GTM coupe and some older kits!?

Libra is a monococque tub, so it's quite heavy if you have a chassis as well, even if you cut stuff out!

Ah ha, didn't realise he already had a chassis, but reading between the lines... Yes... Hmmm... Tricky one then!

Thank to all.
The G12 is too easy to identify as the Ginetta, but an ideal shape (and the right size too.

The 904 on GT40 I've looked at. It was made by Chuck Betts but the project I think is dead.
There is a UK 904 but turn-key only, though he might sell just the body.

The Lola I have is an open sports racer, and I would like to find a closed car.
Please keep up the suggestions!

Have you thought about modifying the Lola by adding a roof? I am sure it could be done, budget permitting! Might make for an interesting and unique project!?

Dom;
Yes I have. The Lotus Elise may be a good windscreen/surround/doors and easy to get from a damaged car.

Retoga?

Wheelbase is longer than you specified (96"), but then 92" is pretty short for a closed sports racer-type car.

The Retoga is more along the lines I'm thinking of, all a bit Ultima.

The 904 is a very very sleek car, and a firm favorite.

It's all about this chassis:
