Quick question - does anyone know what donor the wheel bearings on the SEi came from?

Also, would they be available from the local factors or a specialist item?

Cheers

MK3/4/5 Cortina.

Any good factor will be able to get hold of them. They can be adjusted as well.

Remove the dust cover, remove the split pin, back the nut off, re-tighten to 27lb/ft (if memory serves), then back off 90 degrees, replace a new split pin and reassemble.

The problem tends to be getting the castlations on the nut aligned with the hole in the stub shaft means they are either sligthly tight or slightly loose...

Funnily enough I just did this last weekend. Cortina Mk5 (QWB115) were the bearings I used, just got them from my local motor factors £23 for both fronts. Cant remember the torque off the top of my head, but that seems about right.
