Hello,

Slowly refurbishing my Westfield after years of abuse. Unfortunately all the bits that were common in scrapyards in 1992 are now rare. Does anyone know if/where I can get brake servicing kits for Mk4/5 Cortina front calipers and Mk2 Escort rear drums (English/Timken axle)? These kits included the piston seals and dust caps. The car has been stood for 5 years with no brake fluid & I reckon they could do with replacing. I replaced the originals with these servicing kits during the original build so I know you used to be able to get them. Burton power didn't have any or my local car factors. Tried the local Ford Dealer who said nope. Westfield have given me a couple of leads I will be chasing up - Performance Brakes and Brake Engineering.

Any other Ideas ?

Try Classicar Automotive,(01625) 860910 This company has reconditioned calipers for me in the past, thoroughly recommended. They also sell components to enable you to refurbish yours.

Just for the record, Classicar Automotive came up with the front Cortina seals for £18.00 & Past Parts 01284 750729 came up with the rear Escort seals.
