Hi all,

I have an acumen DG8 fitted on my MNR.
After trying to program it 4 times, I need some advice on what I am doing wrong. I have been following these instructions-

http://www.haynes.co.uk/wcsstore/HaynesPublishing/...

Neutral, 1st and 2nd seem to be OK but 3rd and 4th etc get confused with each other.

Any tips before I throw it in the bin?
Cheers

ensure you have plenty of prop magnets and also you have a decent revs feed.

i tapped into piston 1

mine is a 5pw and works great, ableit a little slow to catch up (3-4 car lengths fter gear has changed) its a nice cheap item though to have

teabagger as Kriss says, it relies on a good RPM and speedo feed. If these are not stable on your car (i.e. the needle is jumpy on either or both counters), the gear display will have problems too.

Jack up the rear of the car and perform the calibration with the rear wheels in the air to ensure you can follow the instructions without fear of traffic upsetting the calibration.
