I have rang some Kitcar insurance companies,
And i can't find any which will insure me on a quantum saloon 1.6 at 17 years old,
Does anyone know any insurance companies,
I know that Footman James does the insurance,
But i am wondering is thier any other companies.

Isn't there an owner's club to insure through? That sometimes helps.

Im insured through sureterm who have always been good, policy is from highway. Worth a call, if they cant, ask them to advise who might. Telephone tag time!

Sureterm just covered me on an R1 BEC for 3000 miles FC for under £240. Next best quote was £350 and worst was £750. Shop around as there's a lot of variance (like any insurance)

0 ncb, new build (insured on chassis number till DVLA inspection, good part of a bad postcode (come in the top 5 for burglaries in the UK apparently), but no claims, points, convictions, etc... no experience of BEC (although my daily drive is 450bhp). It's a little bit more than the bike to insure but not hellish.

Very few people would touch me. I was 20 with a Westfield Megabusa, no one gave me even a quote except Flux which was very high by kitcar standards but I took it out anyway. Then came renewal and me being 21 I rang some companies, still very little interest but got 3 quotes out of about 8 companies I rang. 2 quotes were plenty over 1k and then Flux came up trumps after numerous phone calls and them trying to do a bit better as I had coming upto 5 years NCB on my other policy which made me very happy. However they said the policy will remain a similar price until I get to 25.

Flux will be your best bet. However part of the reason I had trouble was because it was a bike-engined car and because it was a 'Busa of all the bike engines lol. Companies said that basically equates to a 4.5 litre in their book so they wouldn't touch me.

A small car engine kit car wouldn't have given me any issues at all but at 17 everything does so you can't expect much.

Every insurer I spoke to said a BEC had a 1.5 multiplier compared to a similar spec CEC. They didn't clarify why though, just that the computer said so.

I have a Murtaya as my only car and Adrian Flux were quite happy with that with no garage requirements either!
About £200 CHEAPER than my VX220 too!
