Just testing the water. I have a MAC1 Kit car that I may need to get to Sheffild. Im not driving it that far and dont have a trailer. If I paid a small (gentlemen's \ enthusiasts) fee (and I suppose a deposit) would some one be interested in renting me their trailer. Obviously I would look after it and only need it for 24 hours. If so what sort of cost and deposit would you want? I live near Dartford, kent

Thanks

Stubby Pete

Try Incorrigible, I know he rents oout his trailer, based a bit south of you in Sussex.

Don't tell him I recommended you to him, he might charge you extra, that's what brothers do!!!!

This place was recommended to me on Locost. It seems very good!

Do you have a licence to tow a trailer?
Many don't realise that it is not automatically on your licence unless you're old like me.

Do you have to deliver in person ?
When I sold my engineless Discovery the buyer wantd it delivered so I arranged for a company who I found on eBay to deliver and it cost no more then me hiring a trailer plus fuel for both outwards & return journey.

I have a cat B on my licence:

Motor vehicle with a MAM of up to 3,500 kg, no more than eight passenger seats, with or without a trailer - weighing no more than 750 kg

I have a company car meaning no fuel costs. The only cost I have is a tow bar (dound already for £80 including all parts) and the rental costs.
