has anyone got any idea what kit this might be ?

I think it's a Locust (not Locost) - they're plywood based.

ETA: Although the sides are normally ali covered ply, where there's no holes in the ply (unlike this one)...

where is plywood? there is no plywood. so it is not a Locust. Locust also do have a ladder chassis. this is a spaceframe.

front axle is triumph, alloys are triumph. triumph dolomite front subframe has been welded to the chassis. body panels look rather inox than alloy

so it is an early robin hood.

what plywood ?

the chassis is metal (the pics do make it look an odd colour i spose)

if you are lucky you can buy such one in very good nick, incl. a dolomite sprint engine, old registration but correctly registered as RobinHood for 1500-2000pound!! so its not even worth starting to built up this kit. maybe some body panels or the alloys cold be sold as spares.
