If they're still going of course.

Assuming you're still interested after last week's episode of Top Gear, couldn' this be used in a Stratos replica?...

Mine's fited with an Alfa 24v V6. And, do you know what? It only spins off the road occassionally.
No more than once or twice a week.
Of course, I'm a waaay better driver the The Stig ever will be.

It might be possible to get one in a GTM Libra with the V6 tub.
Not exactly sure, but I think the Rover V6 that is fitted to the GTM's will be a fair bit smaller than the Alfa one, theres barely any room in the engine bay of our 3.2V6 Alfa 166 and it's a fairly big car, even less room under the bonnet of our old 2.5V6 156 and thats not exactly a small car...bigger engine bay than a Libra anyway.Plus all that weight over the back...
Be nice to see it tried though.

stratos would be great however they're bloody expensive!
I never believe what I see on top gear, neither do the public with an IQ higher than 5 I hope!
So what is your budget?I never believe what I see on top gear, neither do the public with an IQ higher than 5 I hope!
ISTR Napiersport were working on a version of their Corse I Stratos replica that was mainly single donor 156 V6 to get the build costs down. Might be worth asking them how they got on with that.
I think if I am dumping 230BHP into a chassis, I don't want it to be *too* cheap
