I understand it that you can use VW golf brake calipers on the rear when building a westy/locost style car.

Does anybody know a part number or what year/Mk they are from?

Surely it will depend on what they are going to fit onto?
What's the back end, if it's a live axle, what from; if it's independent, then what are the hubs/uprights?

All the running gear on the back is from MK and it is IRS.

As Paul said, whats the doner car?

A friend has just put Sierra hubs, discs and calipers on the back of his Westfield

Its not the doner car that counts in this instance as I am buying new calipers and all the wishbones and hubs etc are also brand new from MK.

I think I should have phrased it better, Can you use VW calipers on MK Indy rear running gear?

The reason I ask is because I work for a car group which has a few VW franchises and can get parts at cost price, therefore if they can us VW ones it would save me some dosh smile

You are best off asking MK.

I know that the Westfield rear uprights can take Sierra or Golf calipers, but I'm not sure if the uprights are different depending on which calipers they supply, or if they supply an adaption kit to fit the Golf caliper.

Give MK a quick ring to be sure.
