Kit Car Owners in the South

Hi Folks. Southernkitcars.com has now been live for a little over 2 weeks ( 120+ members so far). It's aimed at owners in Kent across to east Hants, Surrey inc S.London. The aim is to have the site open to all makes of kit car, and will be a forum for meeting like minded folks across the region - irrespective of marque.
Members are able to access an owners map which shows the rough location of everyone, which means that a new member can easily make contact with others in their locality.

As a taster group events include this year:
1/ March 21st Run + Meet to Littlehapton for Brekkie
2/ Pre-Detling Meet / Brekkie and a 30 minute convoy/run to the Show on the Sunday.
3/ Le Blat - Day in France mid April
4/ Fish n Chip Run to the Coast one Friday evening when the nights are longer!
5/ Home/Away - visiting a different area to be guided around some of the locals fav roads and then the favour returned....
6/ Bentley MK2
7/ Big Brekkie Meets.

I'll be up for that, any excuse to get the Phoenix out. I am in Oxted, Surrey. Jct.6 M25. We have a meet 1st Friday every month at the Big Grasshopper Pub, Westerham, Kent on the A25. Was predominately a Sylva Marque meet, and we can have upto 20 cars for a pint in the Summer, but feel free to hijack that established night to get a few more cars if you wish, the more the merrier!

Hi Andy....we've exchanged a few emails in the past in think about the Bentley run? I will drop in on the G/Hopper, prob the end of March meet - as ironically am carless this weekend - its at the Doc's for winter checkover :-)

I'll pop back to this thread next week when the site is ready and give all the details.......

Hi Mark, Finally time to get the cars out after a terribly cold/snowy winter then? Looking forward to the new events as last year they had a stunning turn out. The MNR is quite a lowly marque but ive seen 5 that are in the region from the meets plus its great to have a poke around at other folks kits.

Lee - Room for any more, will there be a meet this week and what time do you head down there?

Lee - murphys law - been invited to a birthday bash friday, cant complain its for me! so i'll dip out this month, but please pop onto the site and stick a post up...and remind us from time to time :-)

Just a quick update,....the site is now active. Encouraging to see that there are now 95 members who have registered in the last few days. So, if you're in the South and are building or own a kit - why not drop in.....The first meet is Detling, we'll have a Pre Show meet en-route at an open day sponsored by 7-Indulgence at Meopham ( 30 mins west of the show m26/m20 exit for Wrotham ). They'll lay on a buttie + coffee and then we're convoying across to the show. Details available on southernkitcars.com
