I don't recognise the car, but there is something about the address (Haverfordwest) that rings a kit car connected bell.

Haverfordwest is in Wales, and quite a welsh part too. It's one of those places where if you are ill, they send an ambiwlans.

I can't work out whether it is front or mid engined. Obviously there are intakes behind the cockpit, but the cockpit seems set quite a long way towards the rear of the car. That's quite a big bonnet too. Perhaps it has two engines?

He says about selling copies to your friends, I think they would need to be friends to buy them.

V.strange.

There's no description, just some poor pictures. So no one know what the body is for, or designed to fit or...anything really.

Then there's the price. Now I know that £1000 for a good set of moulds and plugs might not be a lot of money, but to justify it, coming from the makers, I'd expect some sort of puff about how stable they are, how brilliantly they are finished, how they are designed to make the complex shapes with the minimum of post layup finishing etc...

I just sort of get the impression that either the seller is going through the motions to appear to sell it (maybe he wants to acquire it all at a knock down price.

Or maybe he's just bloody clueless.

I thought that looked interesting. I emailed the seller yesterday to ask if he knew what chassis was intended to go under it. I got one message saying that he thought it was modified westfield then I got another message saying he had no idea and he was just making them for a customer. Very odd.

I've asked him to measure it and give me some dimensions but no response yet.

It does look quite interesting. But why is there a gutter running down past the cockpit?

Also as happened before by manufacturers advertising their wears. Why dont they do a spell checker? GTM (or whoever selling the Larini, or whatever) also did the same. They are professional commercial companies but look like they got me (or someone just as bright) to do the advertising, but never checked the prof. What!!

I’ve had a chat with the seller. They are a boat building company that are closing down, so this project has to go.

The original concept grew out of an idea one of their customers had. The body was designed and built for a lengthened and widened Westfield chassis. There was to be a bike engine in the rear and a luggage compartment in the front. There are no interior parts included.

edited to add: I forgot, he also mentioned headlamps, I think there are headlamp buckets as well. Looking at one of the pics, there appears to be a fine break line in the top of the wing.

There were no drawings for the body; it was made up by the seller, so he has the rights to sell the moulds.

He tells me that they are proper moulds made for making a series of parts out of. They have proper bolt together joints and a surface good enough for a gel coat lay up. None of the joints will require plastacine, so the panels taken from them will just have fine flashings to remove.

He sounds a pretty genuine guy, but their expertise is in boat building not cars.
