An indication of your budget, whether the car would be used for road or road/track might help.

Why limit yourself to MAC, Dax and MK, what about Westfield and MNR for example, the Sylva range too are very good, Striker, Fury, Phoenix, though they are not 7 replicas.

The car will be used mainly on the road. I will track it at some point. I like the MNR also. I have heard alot of good things about MAC#1 and will visit there place in the next couple of weeks.

Budget....well, I really think £10,000 is my limit.
If the "right" one came along i may increase my budget........but im sure £10,000 will get me something nice.

Also...not too keen on "Q" plates.hahaha

With a kit car, having 'Q' plates may not be a problem.

Due to the very nature of kit cars, having a 'Q' plate may only mean that the builder could not prove that the main components came from one donor car.

Also the 'Q' plate would allow the builder to use the best components for the cars use. The right engine matched to the best 'box and the best suspension.

I'm not sure how easy a BEC would be to not have ended up as a Q. Very difficult to get a new plate and surely not enough donor points to get age related?

I would always treat a Q as per any buy. Check it out and ask the questions. As said some of the best built cars are Q because the builder can spec all the best bits. You may limit your options by dismissing one.

I would be looking at Sean's ZX9 R1ot that is/was inthe classifieds. That thing is a little terror!!! Used to regularly beat up R300 / 400's on track. Only about £7.5k too
